Volunteers are the heart and muscle of the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association.
Volunteers include permanent residents, farmers, cottagers, business people and government employees who have made a commitment to living and working in harmony with a natural environment that contains globally significant ecosystems. The three principles at the core of our volunteers' commitment are conservation, sustainable economic development and capacity building.
As a community Biosphere Reserve Association, we are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to translating these principles into concrete local action.
We have a volunteer board of directors.
Year-round staff includes a part-time Executive Director and two Project Managers. In the summer we are able to employ two or three summer students and one or two occasional workers, depending on project funding.
