Escape the slush and drear of the city and indulge your senses with a memorable guided snowshoe expedition through Bruce Peninsula National Park to the famous Grotto. On route discover frozen inland lakes, traverse billowy snow-draped landscapes and learn to recognize tracks of the wild animals that inhabit this ecological treasure.

Travel forest trails to emerge atop the rugged cliff lined coast of Georgian Bay and experience the ice-sheathed rock faces, amazing vistas, ancient trees, and the icy surface of the “sixth Great lake”.

Wend your way to ice level and explore the magical sea caves. Savour the solitude while your guide regales you with wintry tales of how people, plants and animals survive and thrive in this rugged icy paradise.

All eco-adventure experiences are curated for small groups with no more than 12 curious explorers at a time. This is an ideal experience for singles, couples, families or as team building opportunities.

No snowshoes? No problem! Eco-adventures can provide new modern snowshoes for any participants needing them, included in your price.

  • Rating: 145px Ski trail rating symbol blue square.svg This adventure is rated moderate. Participants will be expected to travel 5 km outdoors in winter conditions. 
  • Where: Meet at Cyprus Lake parking lot 1.
  • When: Saturday January 19th, Saturday Feb 2nd and Saturday Feb 16th, 11:00 am to 3:00pm. All registrants will be notified if weather conditions make program modification, rescheduling, or cancellation (with refund) necessary.
  • What to bring: Bring warm layered winter clothes and especially warm comfortable boots. A day pack with a water bottle or a thermos. High energy snacks or trail-mix and a packed lunch.
  • Price: Only $44 +HST. Proceeds go towards the important conservation work of the Bruce Peninsula Biosphere Association. Please note, you are responsible for a $12.00 parking fee (per vehicle), payable to Parks Canada at the self-pay shed prior to proceeding to P1 parking lot
