No Tricks! Treat yourself and celebrate the coming of the dark with an autumn themed weekend of Caves, Colours, Dark Skies, Night Ecology and Comfort Food in a UNESCO World Biosphere! Birds migrate south, animals retreat into the Earth to hibernate and forests shed their leafy coats as the sun wanes, and chill, shadow and quiet descend upon the land. What will you do?

Only $299 for this action packed weekend full of sensory delights. Join us and “Fall into Adventure”!

Your weekend Eco-adventure begins Friday evening with full moon welcome walk in Lion’s Head. Trek to a nearby coastal cave for a discussion of night-time ecology. We’ll close the night with a local craft beer and cheese welcome reception and weekend orientation session with Elizabeth, the chair of our local Biosphere Association.

Saturday brings a guided escarpment expedition and boulder scramble within Bruce Peninsula National Park exploring the caves, cliffs and crags along the rugged Georgian Bay shore. Saturday afternoon is unscheduled free time. Visit the nearby village of Tobermory or check out Parks Canada’s new interpreted fen boardwalk at Singing Sands!

After a seasonally themed harvest dinner let Mike Warkentin, chair of the Peninsula's Dark Sky and Bayside Astronomy programs take you on a night-sky star tour exploring the heavens.

On Sunday, delve into the dark stony depths of the spectacular Greig's Caves. This exclusive expedition into these famous sea caves highlights the fascinating and transformative glacial history of the peninsula, the mysterious world of ice-age mega-fauna and new theories on what may have brought this period to a catastrophic end. This is a special chance to honour the coming “dark time” of the year by immersing yourself into the deep places of the world.
